The Matrix Evolution consortium is pleased to invite you to the second Matrix Evolution Symposium, which will take place in Hannover on 27 August 2026.

Together with researchers from materials science, cell biology, biophysics, clinical research, and bioinformatics, we aim to discuss current developments, methodological innovations, and translational perspectives in the field of biomaterials.

In addition to our invited speakers, we warmly welcome poster abstract submissions on (but not limited to) the following topics:

• Bioinspired and hierarchical biomaterials; stimuli-responsive and dynamic matrices

• Mechanobiology, cell–matrix interactions, and signal transduction

• 3D models, organoids, tissue engineering, and biofabrication

• High-resolution imaging, biophysical approaches, and matrix characterization

• Computational modeling, simulation, and AI/ML for biomaterials design and analysis, including cell–matrix interactions

• Preclinical and clinical applications, regeneration, implants, and immunomodulation
